Introducing our Barrel In a Box line.
For sale is one (1) entire whiskey barrel, in a box. (Or half of one, if you choose the Half Barrel option)
*This is not intended to be put back together to form a whole barrel. Although, with the right knowledge and equipment, it is possible.
Each Box contains: One 53 gal American White Oak Whiskey Barrel
-An average of 33 staves; no less than 30. Each 35" long, 1" thick, and various widths
-Including One bung stave, with bung
- Two heads, 22" diameter, with, at least, one guaranteed to have distillery markings.
- Optional - Full set of barrel bands (6) may be included for $20.00 extra.
We've all seen the amazing products crafted from these one-of-a-kind barrels, and their not so amazing price tags. Now, the DIY'ers, who are often saying "I can do that", actually can!
Barrels are normally hard to get, they're a logistics nightmare, and are expensive to ship. They're also very wet, take up to a year to fully dry, and are a haven for mold and bacteria!
With Barrel in a Box, you get a full barrel (33 staves avg. plus 2 lids. Bands not included) that has been cleaned out, steam sanitized, and kiln dried.
Each barrel is individually taken apart. The insides are carefully cleaned of debris, while maintaining the integrity of the wood. They're then sanitized with high pressure steam to eliminate bacteria and mold, and prevents future growth. The kiln drying process then prevents future shrinkage, movement, cracking, and warping.
Half Barrel: 15 staves, one lid. May or may not have distillery markings. Rustic or Vintage.
Full Barrel: 33 Staves, 2 lids. At least one will have distillery markings.
Sanded: We will remove sand down the barrel to reveal up to 90% clean wood. Iron stains will remain where hoops were.
Barrels are sold as is. Some damage, such as cracks or splinters, may be present due to it's long life of aging amazing spirits.
